A new month means new and exciting change for Underwood Companies! Just recently we have welcomed on new employees and generated promotions within our growing company.
“Change within a company is always exciting,” explained Dean Durrett, current CEO of Underwood Companies Inc. “Our staff is continuing to expand and mature which will ultimately help us to achieve our goals and help us continue to meet our customers’ needs.”
New to the company, Mike Egenolf comes in with a wealth of knowledge as well as years of experience in the rigging and contracting industries. He will be joining Underwood Companies as a Sales & Project Manager. Beginning in 1981, Egenolf entered the rigging workforce where he was able to hone his skills and for the past eight years, he has been with Cardinal Contracting as a Project Manager.
The new Vice President of Business Development is Chad Williams, who started with Underwood in October 2018 as a salesperson. Williams has been involved in the business for several years and will be an invaluable asset to the company in his new position. After graduating from Purdue University, Williams joined Continental Airlines in Houston, Texas where he worked in scheduling, revenue management and charter sales for five years. Wanting to move closer to his wife’s Indiana roots, he moved back to Indiana where he worked with ATA Airlines before moving to MacAllister Machinery, where he worked in sales for Caterpillar equipment for the past fifteen years. Congratulations on your promotion to the Vice President of Business Development.
Involved with Underwood Companies for the past six years, Jim Irwin has been promoted to the President of the company. Joining the team as a salesperson in May of 2013 where he has since been promoted to Vice President of Business Development, now Jim is leveling up again as the newly named President of Underwood. He will work with the other leaders within the company to provide strategic leadership and goal implementation. With 13 years in Power Generation Sales with both Cummins and Caterpillar, Irwin will be able to help take the company into the future as we continue to expand and grow.
We are hitting the ground running with these three employees in their new positions and can’t wait to see what the future holds for Underwood Companies. Congratulations to Mike Egenolf, Chad Williams and Jim Irwin.
