Project Type: Transformer Disconnection, Rigging, and New Install
Customer: State of Indiana
Industry: Goverment
Location: Indianapolis, Indiana
Description:
Underwood was called into action to remove a blown transformer from an underground vault outside the governor’s office on the Indiana Statehouse property. Due to the explosion, the entire statehouse was evacuated. Trained Underwood professionals handled all the electrical disconnects and used a crane to rig out the damaged transformer from the vault then replaced it with a new transformer reconnecting all electrical components. In order to preserve the statehouse lawn, workers constructed a path from the street to the hole that bridged the span and supported crane equipment to get the job done with minimal interference to landscaping.
